What are your responsibilities at Rittmeyer?
I accompany our customers from conception, through implementation, to invoicing. Our scope of services includes networks, control cabinets, automation of storage and river power plants, water catchments and much more.
What can you imagine by canyoning?
The passage of often incised canyons or mountain streams. This involves running routes, long pools and waterfalls to overcome. The waterfalls can be from 0-300m high, which requires the use of ropes and a good technique. Smaller steps with beautifully washed out pools can also be slid or jumped.
What fascinates you about canyoning?
In Switzerland alone there are over 500 more or less well-known canyons waiting to be discovered by us. Some of them only carry water in spring during the snowmelt, others can only be explored in October/November when temperatures are lower. The Trümmelbach Falls, for example, carry too much water in the summer for safe access. The combination of outdoor sports, team spirit, rope technique and a lot of know-how that is needed for the sport fascinates me.
How flexible is the work environment at Rittmeyer in relation to your hobby?
Due to the annual working time, we can arrange our working time ourselves. Of course, we first take into account the needs of our customers. Once these have been taken care of, we can sometimes take a compensation day. We enjoy great freedom.
How would you describe Rittmeyer in three words?
Team player, multifaceted, customer-oriented
